Introduction

Singapore is facing a crises of a very different kind these days. It is a country that is getting older and older. According to Singapore’s Department of Statistics, we are not having enough babies to replenish our population! In fact, according to government figures, we have not been able to do so since 1975!! See chart on SingStat website. Our current fertility rate is 1.42 babies per married couple. This means, two adults produce less than two babies and this EQUALS a decreasing and ageing population because there’s not enough young people!!!!

The government is anxious to find out more about what kind of challenges are facing Singapore as a society that is both ageing and decreasing in population.

AND THIS IS WHERE YOU AND YOUR TEAM COMES IN!!!!

The government needs your help to brainstorm and come with a deeper understanding of how a rapidly ageing population will affect the Singaporean society.

You and your team will perform your duty as part of the elite S.H.I.E.L.D (Supreme Headquarters of Investigators of Elders Life Division). S.H.I.E.L.D. is part of an undercover organisation that utilised teenagers to help government understand the challenges surrounding the Singaporean society.
